While a group of us were eating at a Chinese buffet the other night, a special encounter naturally happened with a six-year-old Chinese boy. We gave him a wristband and he started asking questions about what the colors meant. We shared the Gospel, he asked all sorts of good questions and then he began to read the Scriptures. When he read Romans 5:8 that says “but God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”, he took a step back and said “oh my goodness, I don’t know why but my eyes have water in them.” And he cried, understanding God’s great love for him. It was powerful and beautiful to see the Word of God touch his heart.
